Final Briefing on Work-Based Learning (WBL) for Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours Students Cohort 2023 was successfully conducted on 4 February 2026 (Wednesday) from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at ZDK4, UMPSA. The session recorded an excellent turnout, with 42 out of 43 students participating. The briefing served as the final pre-departure platform to ensure that all Cohort 2023 students are fully prepared before commencing their WBL placement from March 2026 to March 2027.
Pusat Sains Matematik (PSM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) successfully organised Fun Camp AST 2025/2026, a two-day full-day programme held from 17 to 18 January 2026 at Akademi ADAB, UMPSA Pekan Campus.
The programme involved a total of 41 students from the Foundation for Science and Technology (AST), comprising 34 students from the Gambang Campus and 7 students from the SHIP Campus, Penang. The camp was designed to provide a holistic platform for students to develop self-confidence, strengthen peer bonding, and maximise their personal potential through experiential learning.
The Aspirasi Gemilang AST 2025/2026 Programme, organised by the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), was successfully conducted with the participation of 34 Foundation in Science and Technology (AST) students from the 2025/2026 cohort. Also in attendance were the Deputy Dean (Academic) of PSM, Dr. Norhafizah binti Md Sarif, and the former AST Programme Coordinator, Dr. Farahanim binti Misni. The programme aimed to assist students in planning their academic pathways more strategically in alignment with their future career aspirations.
The Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organised a SULAM programme titled “The Power of Data Science” on 15 January 2026 at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Abdul Rahman Talib, Kuantan.
The programme was conducted under the course BSD1313 – Introduction to Data Science and led by Dr. Mohd Khairul Bazli bin Mohd Aziz as the Project Leader. The initiative received official approval from the Office of the Senior Director (Strategy & Academic Development) as part of UMPSA’s continuous commitment to service-learning and community engagement.
