January 3, 2025 - The new year commenced with a dynamic and inspiring Industrial Talk for the BSD2213 Data Science Programming I course at the Library Auditorium, UMPSA Gambang. The session was led by two distinguished speakers from Abyres Enterprise Technology Sdn. Bhd., a valued business collaborator and key supporter of our Work-Based Learning program for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honour. Ts. Basheer Ali Majed, the Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Mohd Izhar Firdaus, the Director of Data & AI, shared their invaluable insights, setting an engaging tone for the year ahead.
Postgraduate students from the Fluid Flow Modelling Cluster, PSM UMPSA have achieved a significant milestone by winning one gold medal and three silver medals at the Semarak International Research Article Competition 2024 III (SIRAC 2024 III). Organized by Semarak Ilmu Publishing, SIRAC 2024 III attracted researchers from both Malaysia and abroad, providing a platform to showcase high-quality research across various disciplines. The competition aims to recognize and promote exceptional scientific articles.
Global Classroom: BSD3523 Machine Learning with a Lecturer from Central University of Haryana, India
On December 3rd and 10th, 2024, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences UMPSA successfully hosted a Global Classroom session for the Machine Learning (BSD3523) course in collaboration with the Central University of Haryana, India. Dr. Suraj Arya, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at the Central University of Haryana, delivered a lecture on Unsupervised Learning, a type of machine learning that discovers hidden patterns and structures within unlabeled data.
