On Friday, May 31st, 2024, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences UMPSA, hosted a Data Analytics Industrial Talk. The renowned economist and CFA, Mohammad Bazli Che Rozenan, Head of FX, Rates, and Commodities Research at Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), delivered the talk titled "Unlocking Economic Insight: The Imperative Role of R Language in the Financial Industry." This talk provided students with a valuable opportunity to observe the practical application of mathematics in the real world, specifically within the financial sector.
On 24th May 2024, PSM UMPSA hosted the third Monthly Mathematical Colloquium (MMC) of the year, marking another successful milestone. This event provided a platform for intellectual exchange, featuring presentations from three PhD students and one Master student.
A benchmarking visit to PSM UMPSA for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honors Programme by Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology (FAST) Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) was held on Friday, 24th of May 2024. PSM welcomed three delegates from UTHM.
