Three lecturers from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, namely Dr. Tay Chai Jian, Dr. Noraziah Adzhar and Dr. Sahimel Azwal Sulaiman has conducted supervisor visits to industries throughout Malaysia for Semester I 2024/2025. Here are the industries involved in the visit: Malaysian Timber Council, Boeing Composites Malaysia, Amsolar Sdn Bhd, Rovenza Beauty Brand Sdn Bhd, Celestica Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Petronas Lubricant International Sdn Bhd and Setel Ventures Sdn Bhd.
The PSM UMPSA staff extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Muhammad Azrin bin Ahmad, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohd Kasim, and Dr. Azuana binti Ramli on their successful acquisition of the UMPSA Teaching and Learning Grant for their project titled "TECHNOLOGY-ENHANCED CLASSROOM: IMPLEMENTING CHROMECAST AND APPLE TV FOR EFFECTIVE TEACHING." This project has been awarded RM22,000 in funding and will be implemented from December 15, 2024 to December, 14 2025.
January 3, 2025 - The new year commenced with a dynamic and inspiring Industrial Talk for the BSD2213 Data Science Programming I course at the Library Auditorium, UMPSA Gambang. The session was led by two distinguished speakers from Abyres Enterprise Technology Sdn. Bhd., a valued business collaborator and key supporter of our Work-Based Learning program for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honour. Ts. Basheer Ali Majed, the Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Mohd Izhar Firdaus, the Director of Data & AI, shared their invaluable insights, setting an engaging tone for the year ahead.
Postgraduate students from the Fluid Flow Modelling Cluster, PSM UMPSA have achieved a significant milestone by winning one gold medal and three silver medals at the Semarak International Research Article Competition 2024 III (SIRAC 2024 III). Organized by Semarak Ilmu Publishing, SIRAC 2024 III attracted researchers from both Malaysia and abroad, providing a platform to showcase high-quality research across various disciplines. The competition aims to recognize and promote exceptional scientific articles.
