WORK BASED LEARNING (WBL) WORKSHOP WITH INDUSTRY COACHES FOR THE BACHELOR OF APPLIED SCIENCE IN DATA ANALYTICS WITH HONOURS, CENTRE FOR MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES, 2025
On 13 September 2025, a WBL workshop with Industry Coach has already been successfully conducted at Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur.
The objective of this workshop is to hold a familiarization session between the Academic Tutor and the Industry Coach, to provide exposure and explanation of the Industry Coach's role in the WBL approach and to provide information and training to the Industry Coach regarding the evaluation procedure for the WBL course.
This workshop was attended by 17 staff members of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, led by the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Sham Bin Mohamad. This workshop was also attended by a total of 15 Industry Coaches or representatives from 11 different industries. These includes Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), Najeehah International Sdn Bhd, Ever AI Holdings Sdn Bhd, TT Electronics, Strateq System Sdn. Bhd, UMPSA Advanced Education Sdn Bhd, FGV Prodata System Sdn Bhd, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Pengurusan Air Pahang Berhad (PAIP) and OR Technologies Sdn Bhd.
With the end of this workshop, it is hoped that the Data Analytics students will benefit when they start undergoing Industrial Training in their respective industries starting next year.
