PSM hosted an appreciation ceremony to honor its recent win at the Majlis Hari Kualiti dan Inovasi UMPSA 2024. The team was awarded the prestigious Anugerah Merit in the Anugerah Kualiti Naib Canselor category. In his speech, Professor Dr. Mohd Zuki, Dean of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences UMPSA, expressed gratitude to the entire team for their contributions to this success. He dedicated the award to the dedicated staff and expressed optimism about securing the Main Award in the future.
The Centre for Mathematical Sciences has successfully organized an Industry Expert Forum titled 'Semiconductor Manufacturing - A Mathematical Perspective' Series 1, which is part of the initiative 'Addressing Skilled Workforce Demand in the Semiconductor Industry in Malaysia'. Two prominent panelists in the semiconductor industry are invited to share their vast experience. According to the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013–2025, Malaysia places great importance on education as a means of becoming a developed nation and meeting the challenges and demands of a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)-driven economy.
The Innovative and Creative Group (KIK) of the Centre of Mathematical Sciences (CMS), Innovatory held a KIK project improvement workshop on 9 and 10 July 2024 at the AC Marriott Hotel, Kuantan, Pahang. The workshop, which was attended by the facilitator and 10 members of the Innovatory group, aimed to make improvements to the project that had been developed in preparation for the KIK convention at the Public University (PU) level in August.
The Career Placement and Development Centre (CPDC) at UMPSA launched the Premium Industry Exposure 2024 program, connecting students with leading companies in their chosen fields. This two-day initiative (July 3rd & 4th, 2024) provided valuable insights and career guidance for students in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours program.
