On August 27, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Roslinazairimah Zakaria from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at UMPSA visited Inari Technology Sdn. Bhd. at the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, Pulau Pinang. This visit followed up on the collaborative efforts established during the Industry Forum on July 19th, 2024. Inari Technology expressed keen interest in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours program, particularly the work-based learning (WBL) component.
On August 21-22, 2024, the Postgraduate Unit of PSM UMPSA organized a workshop on rigorous assessment and process flow for postgraduate studies at Hotel Zenith Kuantan. 23 academic and administrative staff attended. The workshop aimed to enhance the assessment process for research mode postgraduate student applications, aligning with the revised IPS 2024 Academic Rulebook and MQA standards.
On August 18-19, 2024, PSM UMPSA, in collaboration with UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Jengka and PPD Maran,successfully organized the MATEMADESA 2024: MEKARMATIK program. The event aligned with UMPSA's "Profesor Turun Padang" initiative. A variety of engaging activities were planned to cultivate a love for mathematics. We aim to inspire students to pursue mathematics and science subjects in their future studies.
On 20th July 2024, five lecturers from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), UMPSA, and four Data Analytics students successfully conducted the “Profesor Turun Padang: Latihan Dan Bimbingan Algebra” with Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SEMSAS), Kuantan. This programme involved 144 Form Two students from SEMSAS.
