In the fast-evolving digital age, cybersecurity stands as a crucial bulwark against emerging threats. For a group of intrepid data analytics students from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), the year 2023 brought an opportunity to plunge into uncharted waters and explore the world of cybersecurity. This incredible journey unfolded as they proudly represented UMPSA in the PETRONAS Inter-University 2023 Capture The Flag (CTF) Competition.
We would like to wish heartiest congratulation to Dr Zulkhibri Ismail @ Mustofa on his new appointment as Deputy Dean (Research & Postgraduate Studies) at PSM UMP from 27 September 2023 until 19 August 2025. He was appointed to the post for the first time from 20 August 2019 until 19 August 2021. This situation can be summarised as if he had returned to the handle. We hope with his presence, it can elevate PSM UMPSA to more success!
In September 2023, a Summer Camp Program between Confucius Institute, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), and Confucius Institute, Hebei University commenced. This program aimed to enhance students' knowledge of Mandarin language and traditional Chinese practices such as calligraphy, painting, martial arts (wushu), playing musical instruments (guzheng), and participating in tea ceremonies. Additionally, it allowed UMPSA students to experience the academic environment at another institution, fostering cross-university networking.
In conjunction with the Student Induction Week 2023 (MINDS 2023), a briefing session with the faculty members was held for the 2023/2024 intake students of Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours on 4 October 2023. The session starts from 8.15 am to 1.30 pm and is organized by the Academic Advisor Committee of PSM.
