On June 7th, 2024, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah successfully hosted a Global Classroom session for the Data Science Programming II course in collaboration with Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The lecture, titled "Simulation Using R Language," was presented by Dr. Rado Yendra from the Rado Institute, Indonesia.
An MS ISO 9001: 2015 (Teaching and Learning) Internal Audit Series 2 and Academic Quality Management System (AQMS) Procedure Baseline Audit visit to the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) was conducted on June 6, 2024. This visit aims to see the culture of quality as well as to audit the academic procedures listed in the Manual Quality of MS ISO 9001: 2015 and AQMS procedures.
On May 3, 2024, two second-year female students of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours, Nur Atieka Rafiekah Binti Razak (SD22003) and Nur Nabila Binti Abd Rahman (SD22032) were given the opportunity to represent Universiti Malaysia Pahang AL-Sultan Abdullah among eight female students in a leadership program, the Axiata Digital Leaders Programme (A.D.L.P.) for Girls 2024, organized by the Axiata Foundation.
On May 18, 2024, Mathelites Club organized a charity program to visit Pusat Jagaan Hembusan Kasih Sayang orphanage in Kuantan. The event, which ran from 8 AM to 2 PM, was attended by Dr. Adam Shariff bin Adli Aminuddin, the Head of the Data Analytics Program. The day was full with interesting activities for the orphans, instilling a sense of community and joy. The activities began with an ice-breaking session to help everyone get acquainted, followed by an energetic aerobics session to start the day on a lively note.
