PSM UMPSA Strengthens Ties with Industry Leader, Inari Technology

On August 27, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Roslinazairimah Zakaria from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences UMPSA visited Inari Technology Sdn. Bhd. at the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, Pulau Pinang. This visit followed up on the collaborative efforts established during the Industry Forum on July 19th, 2024.
During the visit, Mr. Noorazidi Che Azib, Deputy Vice President of Operational Technology & Strategic Programs at Inari Technology, expressed keen interest in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours program, particularly its work-based learning (WBL) component. He requested a detailed presentation on the WBL implementation.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is anticipated between UMPSA and Inari Technology, with the company offering industry attachments to PSM staff. These attachments will provide valuable insights into industry operations, strengthening both academic and industrial practices.
This collaboration bridges the gap between academia and industry, enabling the University to offer a robust theoretical foundation while industry provides practical experience. Mr. Syahrizal Salleh, a member of the Industry Advisory Panel of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, also participated in the visit to support the Centre's academic program development.
