Benchmarking Visit: Department of Science, Kuliyyah of Engineering IIUM to PSM UMPSA

On August 19, 2024, the Department of Science from the Kuliyyah of Engineering IIUM conducted a benchmarking visit to the Centre for Mathematical Sciences UMPSA. Led by Assoc Prof. Dr. Mohd Sham Mohamad, Deputy Dean (Academic and Student Affairs), the IIUM delegation was warmly welcomed by UMPSA.
The primary goal of the visit was to engage in a comprehensive review and discussion of the mathematics service courses offered at UMPSA. This included a detailed examination of the syllabus, sample question papers, subject flow, and overall course management.
PSM were represented by:

This benchmarking visit aims to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the mathematics curriculum, encompassing syllabus content, prerequisite courses, assessment methods, and subject flow. Both UMPSA and IIUM stand to gain valuable insights from this collaborative effort, fostering future collaborations to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their mathematics courses, particularly those designed for engineering students.
