16 January 2025 – The PSM SULAM PROGRAMME “The Power of Data Science” was successfully held at Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Ahmad Shah (SEMSAS), Kuantan, on 16 January 2025. This engaging initiative, part of the Introduction to Data Science (BSD1313) course under the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours program, showcased an inspiring collaboration between university students and high school learners.
AST@Camping 2025 was successfully held on January, 18-19 2025 at Akademi ADAB, UMPSA Pekan, bringing together 74 Foundation of Science and Technology students (batch 2024/2025) for an immersive outdoor experience. This program was organized by Foundation of Science and Technology, aimed to instil essential values such as responsibility, resilience, empathy, creativity, sympathy, and integrity through a series of engaging activities.
The Centre for Mathematical Sciences UMPSA staff extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Farahanim binti Misni on her appointment as Head of Programme (Foundation in Science and Technology) at PSM UMPSA, effective 1 January 2025. We trust that this new appointment will further enhance the success and excellence of both, PSM UMPSA and her career.
On January 10, 2025, the Mathematics Support Centre and CSR/CSI Committee of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, UMPSA, organized “Program Intervensi Asas Pembezaan dan Pengamiran Kursus Servis Matematik”. The program was conducted simultaneously across both UMPSA campuses and involved 200 students, who were selected by the lecturers of the respective Mathematics Service courses. The primary objective of the program was to enhance students' understanding and mastery of the fundamentals of differentiation and integration.
