In conjunction with the Student Induction Week 2023 (MINDS 2023), a briefing session with the faculty members was held for the 2023/2024 intake students of Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours on 4 October 2023. The session starts from 8.15 am to 1.30 pm and is organized by the Academic Advisor Committee of PSM.

A researcher from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences UMPSA, Dr Tay Chai Jian has secured a Kurita Overseas Research Grant from Kurita Water and Environment Foundation (KWEF) with a total fund of JPY 400,000.
A team from Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) participated in the Research & Innovative Technology Competition (i-RITEC2023) hosted by the Faculty of Engineering Technology at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn (UTHM) from September 20th to 25th, 2023. The team, led by Dr. Chuan Zun Liang from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, included three members: Kueh Fuk Chen (3rd-year student from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences), Tham Ren Sheng (1st-year student from the Faculty of Industrial Management), and David Lau King Luen (2nd-year student from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences). They presented their project titled "AI-Enabled Energy Prediction: Unlocking Insights in Sparse Dataset Annual Consumption Predictions" in the fundamental category.
