A discussion on the “Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for Work Based Learning (WBL) Education” between the Center for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and AFFIN GROUP for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours (2u2i Mode) has taken place virtually on 11 September 2023.
On September 9, 2023, a Work Based Learning (WBL) Workshop With Industry Coach program for Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics was held at Pulse Grande Hotel, Putrajaya. The objective of this program was to facilitate an introduction session between Academic Tutors and Industry Coaches, provide exposure and explanation of the role of Industry Coaches in the WBL approach, and offer guidance and training to Industry Coaches regarding the assessment procedures for WBL courses.
PSM UMPSA has held a webinar on resume writing and interview tips on 19 August 2023. This webinar was attended by third-year students from the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honors (BSD) programme who are currently at the industry for Work-Based Learning and industrial training placements. Two alumni from the BSD programme were invited as speakers for this workshop.
The official result of the list of research proposals that have successfully secured the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) for Phase 1 2023 was announced on 30 August 2023. The four researchers from Centre for Mathematical Sciences who have acquired the FRGS research fund are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohd Kasim, Dr Muhammad Khairul Anuar Mohamed, Dr Nor Azuana Ramli and Dr Tay Chai Jian.
