The presentation of the final Industrial Training (IT) report for Semester I 2023/2024 was held on 24 January 2024 until 5 February 2024 online. This presentation involved 60 students from the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours, with 45 students from 2u2i mode and 15 students from coursework mode in several industries throughout Malaysia.
PSM UMPSA conducted an educational and entertaining event on “TVET in the Age of Data Analytics: Building a Future-Ready Workforce” for the Hari TVET Negara 2024 programme. It was held on 1st and 2nd June 2024, at the Mathematics Support Centre, UMPSA Gambang campus. Dr. Ku Muhammad Na'im stressed the necessity of such activities in raising a generation of tech-savvy, future-ready people. He stressed the importance of TVET in preparing students for the fast-changing work economy.
On June 7th, 2024, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah successfully hosted a Global Classroom session for the Data Science Programming II course in collaboration with Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The lecture, titled "Simulation Using R Language," was presented by Dr. Rado Yendra from the Rado Institute, Indonesia.
An MS ISO 9001: 2015 (Teaching and Learning) Internal Audit Series 2 and Academic Quality Management System (AQMS) Procedure Baseline Audit visit to the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) was conducted on June 6, 2024. This visit aims to see the culture of quality as well as to audit the academic procedures listed in the Manual Quality of MS ISO 9001: 2015 and AQMS procedures.
