We are delighted to announce that Associate Professor Dr Abdul Rahman Mohd Kasim has been appointed as the committee member of the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 session.
The official result of the list of research proposals that have successfully secured the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) for Phase 1 2021 has been announced on 6 September 2021. The FRGS Phase 1/2021 application was opened from 18 January 2021 and all applications had to go through several phases of evaluation as regulated by the Ministry of Higher Education.
The colloquium has risen its popularity due to our renowned invited speaker, Prof Dr Nor Haniza binti Sarmin. Prof Dr Nor Haniza talks about “A Smooth Sailing in a Postgraduate Journey: Tips for Students and Supervisors”. In her sharing, she often emphasizes on the importance of the communication in between the supervisor and the student.
On August 26th, 2021, the CSM successfully organised SiMD2021. The main objective of this symposium was to provide a platform for all postgraduate students from CSM as well as from other faculties at UMP and other universities to share their expertise and research in various disciplines of mathematics, such as applied mathematics, data sciences, pure mathematics, and operational research.
