UMPSA Strengthens Algebra Mastery at Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAH), Pekan
PEKAN, 8 July 2026 – The Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), successfully organized the Algebra Enhancement Program at Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (SHAH), Pekan.


The program, which aimed to enhance students' understanding and mastery of Algebra, was led by Dr. Noratikah Abu together with 11 lecturers and staff members from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), UMPSA.
Throughout the program, students participated in a variety of interactive learning activities, group discussions, and problem solving exercises designed to strengthen their understanding of Algebraic concepts. The learning approaches adopted also encouraged students to develop critical thinking skills and build greater confidence in solving mathematical problems.


The Algebra Enhancement Program reflects UMPSA's continuous commitment to supporting the advancement of Mathematics education at the school level through the sharing of academic expertise. It is hoped that initiatives such as this will inspire greater interest in Mathematics among students and encourage more of them to pursue excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
