UMPSA and PPD Kuantan Strengthen Algebra Mastery Among Secondary Students
GAMBANG, 27 September 2025 – The Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with the Kuantan District Education Office, successfully organized the Secondary School Algebra Enhancement Program at ZDK04, UMPSA Gambang.
The program brought together four participating schools: SMK Bukit Goh, SMK Beserah, SM Abdul Rahman Talib, and SBPI Kuantan, with the aim of enhancing students' understanding and mastery of Algebra.




A total of five academic staff from PSM were involved, led by Dr. Noratikah, Principal Investigator of grant CDU240157, together with Dr. Amirul, Dr. Sahimel, Dr. Nadirah, and PSM Dean, Dr. Mohd Sham.
According to the organizers, the initiative reflects UMPSA’s commitment to strengthening mathematical skills among school students and fostering closer collaboration with local education stakeholders. It is hoped that the program will inspire students to approach Algebra with greater confidence and interest.
