ThinkMath Talks 5/2026

On 24 September 2026, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with Hebei University (HBU), China, successfully organised ThinkMath Talks (TMT) 5/2026. The session featured two engaging presentations focusing on theoretical operations research and mathematics, respectively.

The programme commenced with a presentation by Professor Dr. Wei Zhou (魏舟教授) from the College of Mathematics and Information Science, Hebei University. His talk, entitled “Subtransversality and Strong CHIP for Finitely Many Closed Subsets,” explored theoretical aspects of operations research.

The session continued with a presentation by Associate Professor Dr. Wang Fan (王凡副教授) from the College of Mathematics and Information Science, Hebei University. His talk, entitled “Characterizations of Geometric Properties of Spaces of Homogeneous Type,” explored theoretical aspects of mathematics.

The event attracted lecturers and postgraduate students from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, further strengthening international academic collaboration and cross-border knowledge exchange. The Centre for Mathematical Sciences extends its sincere appreciation to all speakers and participants for their active engagement. ThinkMath Talks continues to serve as an international platform for researchers to share innovative work in mathematics, statistics, and related fields.
