Ramadan Celebration: PSM Successfully Organises Tadarus Program and Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony 2026

In an effort to enhance the appreciation of Ramadan and strengthen unity among staff members, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) organised the Ramadan Tadarus Programme 1447H / 2026M, which took place throughout 1 to 25 Ramadan.

This spiritual programme involved the participation of 48 staff members, consisting of 13 male staff and 35 female staff. Throughout the programme, participants took turns reciting the Al-Quran in small groups, with a reviewer assigned to monitor and ensure the accuracy and fluency of the recitation.

To provide flexibility for participants, the tadarus sessions were conducted either physically or online, with each session lasting approximately 60 to 90 minutes depending on participants’ availability. Sessions were held during break times, weekends, mornings, or after the Tarawih prayers.

As the highlight of the programme, the PSM Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony 2026 was held on 13 March 2026 (Friday) at the PSM Concourse Area, from 8.15 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.

The ceremony began with the recitation of short surahs and the Khatam Al-Quran prayer, followed by a Ramadan tazkirah (religious reminder) delivered by Dr Amirul Aizad Ahmad Fuad, who emphasised the importance of making the Al-Quran a guide in daily life and strengthening religious practices during Ramadan.

The event was further enlivened with the presentation of “bunga telur” (traditional token gifts) to participants as a gesture of appreciation, followed by a group photo session before the ceremony concluded.

Organised by the Jawatankuasa Kebajikan dan Kerohanian PSM under Kelab Alpha, the programme not only encouraged a culture of Quran recitation among staff, but also served as a platform to strengthen relationships and foster the spirit of Ramadan within the centre and the university community.
