PSM Hosts Global Classroom on Counting and Probability Course

On 9th January 2026, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) successfully hosted an engaging Global Classroom session on Counting and Probability, with a focus on The Normal Distribution, attracting 71 students specifically from Centre for Mathematical Sciences.

The session featured Dr. Anita Rahayu, S.Si., M.Si., Senior Lecturer from Bina Nusantara University (BINUS), Malang Campus, who shared her international expertise on statistical concepts and their practical applications. The session was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Noryanti Muhammad from UMPSA’s Centre for Mathematical Sciences.

Held virtually via Microsoft Teams, the program ran from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and provided participants with a deeper understanding of the Normal Distribution, focusing on a key concept in probability, statistics, and data analysis. Students engaged actively with the speaker, gaining insights into real world applications of statistical theory.

The Global Classroom initiative underscores PSM’s commitment to providing international learning experiences and fostering collaboration across borders. Participants appreciated the interactive session and the chance to connect with a global academic community.
