PSM Academic Visit to TT Electronics Strengthens Exposure to Industrial Quality Practices

Kuantan, 16 December 2025 – A total of 58 third-year students from the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours programme, accompanied by four lecturers, participated in an academic visit to TT Electronics, Kuantan. The visit involved students enrolled in BSD3472 Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and BSD3443 Statistical Modelling and Simulation for Semester I, Session 2025/2026.

The visit provided direct exposure to the application of statistical and quality concepts in a real industrial environment. Students had the opportunity to observe how the Six Sigma approach is implemented through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework to improve production processes and reduce variation. In addition, students were introduced to the implementation of SQC, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to ensure measurement system reliability, process capability analysis, and quality data modelling.
