Kangaroo Mathematics Competition 2026: Guidance Workshop Series 1

On 4 March 2026 (Wednesday), Guidance Workshop Series 1 was conducted for students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Tok Sera, Kuantan who will be participating in the Kangaroo Mathematics Competition 2026, scheduled to take place on 22 April 2026 (Wednesday).

The workshop was organized to provide early exposure to the format of the competition, as well as to enhance the students’ knowledge and strengthen their skills in answering higher-order thinking questions aligned with the competition requirements.

The programme commenced with an opening ceremony, which included a welcoming speech delivered by the Penolong Kanan Pentadbiran (PKP), Puan Wan Zubaidah binti Wan Ab Ghani. This was followed by an introductory session on the Kangaroo Mathematics Competition presented by Dr. Nor Aida Zuraimi binti Md Noar.

To ensure the effectiveness of the guidance sessions, the students were divided into three groups according to their participation categories, namely:

Pre-Ecolier Category – Year 1 and Year 2 students

Ecolier Category – Year 3 and Year 4 students

Benjamin Category – Year 5 and Year 6 students

Throughout the workshop, the students were exposed to various problem-solving techniques and exercises that emphasized higher-order thinking skills, which are aligned with the format of the competition.

The Guidance Workshop Series 1 concluded at 4:00 PM.
