Consultation on TVET Training Performance and Effectiveness Analysis
SEGAMAT, 23 June 2026 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner to industry and training institutions through the implementation of a consultancy project titled "Consultancy for TVET Training Performance and Effectiveness Analysis," led by Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rashid bin Ab Hamid from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences.
This consultancy project, carried out on 23 June 2026 at the Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST) in Segamat, Johor, is the result of a collaboration between UMPSA, CIAST, and Mutiara Biru Ehsan Sdn. Bhd. The initiative aims to provide expert services to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs involving TVET instructors. Through systematic, data-driven analysis, the project outcomes are expected to assist stakeholders in identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of TVET training implementation in Malaysia.
According to Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rashid, comprehensive performance assessment is a crucial element in ensuring that every training program implemented meets current industry needs and supports the nation's human capital development agenda. He also emphasized that employing a scientific, evidence-based statistical approach yields more accurate findings, which can serve as a foundation for decision-making and continuous improvement.
His expertise in applied statistics and performance assessment adds significant value to the project's implementation. A comprehensive analytical approach enables the organization to gain more accurate insights into training effectiveness, thereby helping to strengthen the quality of TVET program delivery and enhance the competence of instructors.
This project also reflects UMPSA’s commitment to expanding the transfer of knowledge, academic expertise and research results to the community and industry sectors through professional consultancy activities. Initiatives such as this not only strengthen the network of collaboration between universities, industries and training institutions, but also support the nation’s aspirations in strengthening the TVET ecosystem through a data- and evidence-based approach.
