Work-Based Learning (WBL) Education Discussion with Infineon Technologies Strengthens Industry Collaboration
A Work-Based Learning (WBL) meeting between the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), and Infineon Technologies was held on 13 April 2026 at the UMPSA Library, Pekan. The discussion was conducted under the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours (2u2i Mode) programme as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen industry collaboration and expand meaningful placement opportunities for students.

During the session, Infineon shared insights into the company’s background and current direction as a leading player in semiconductor and system solutions. One of the key points highlighted during the meeting was the company’s move towards greater digitalisation, reflecting the increasing need for graduates who are not only technically competent but also able to contribute in data-driven and software-oriented environments. The meeting provided valuable insight into Infineon’s expectations, particularly in terms of technical competence, software proficiency, and future collaboration under the WBL programme. It is hoped that this discussion will lead to a collaboration between PSM UMPSA and Infineon Technologies.
