UMPSA Empowers Foundation Students for Academic Excellence via MUET Band Breakthrough Workshop
GAMBANG, 10 April 2026 – The Center for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) successfully hosted the "MUET Band Breakthrough" Workshop today. The intensive, full-day program was specially curated for 47 students from the Science and Technology Foundation (AST) program, Kohort 2025/2026, who are currently completing their final academic semester before their anticipated graduation in June 2026.

The targeted initiative aimed to dramatically boost the students' language proficiency and overall exam readiness for the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)—a critical prerequisite for entering public university degree programs in Malaysia. Over the course of the day, two guest speakers, Puan Alia Najaa binti Md Nor and Puan Nor Suhardiliana Binti Sahar from the Centre for Modern Languages, UMPSA, provided invaluable tips and tricks, guiding the cohort step-by-step through the structure, formatting, and time-management strategies required for all four essential test components: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. The rigorous agenda combined comprehensive introductory sessions with simulation exercises mimicking real exam environments to solidify the students' strategic answering techniques.
