TMT 4/2026

On 21 August 2026, the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), in collaboration with Hebei University (HBU), China, successfully organized ThinkMath Talks (TMT) 4/2026. The session featured two engaging presentations focusing on graph theory and its applications, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence.

The programme commenced with a presentation by Master’s student Anam, under the main supervision of Dr. Amirul Aizad Ahmad Fuad and co-supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yuhani Yusof. Her talk, “Enumeration of Generated FTTMs with Graphs of Pseudo Degree Zero” explored the theoretical aspects of graph theory, with a focus on the enumeration of generated FTTMs and their association with graphs of pseudo degree zero.

The session continued with a presentation by Dr Mohammad Iqbal, Assistant Professor from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Data Analytics, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Indonesia. His talk, entitled “Graph Neural Networks in Era of Generative Artificial Intelligence and Explainable Artificial Intelligence,” demonstrated the applications of graph theory in artificial intelligence, particularly through graph neural networks (GNNs) and graph convolutional networks (GCNs).

The event attracted lecturers and postgraduate students from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, further strengthening international academic collaboration and cross-border knowledge exchange. The Centre for Mathematical Sciences extends its sincere appreciation to all speakers and participants for their active engagement. ThinkMath Talks continues to serve as an international platform for researchers to share innovative work in mathematics, statistics, and related fields.
