PSM UMPSA conducted Study Committee Meeting for Foundation in Science and Technology Program, a collaboration with Industry and Academia to Boost Foundation Program Quality at UMPSA 2025
On June 28-29, 2025, PSM UMPSA hosted a crucial Study Committee Meeting for the UMPSA Foundations of Science and Technology Program at The Everly Putrajaya. The meeting convened with three esteemed panels: Prof. Ts. Dr. Norhana Abdul Halim, Director, Centre for Defence Foundation Studies, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Laili Che Rose, Director, STEM Foundation Centre, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), and Ts. Dr. Nurul Farahain Mohammad, Senior Analytic Engineer, Insulet Corporation. The event also saw the presence of Prof. Ts. Dr. Che Ku Mohammad Faizal Che Ku Yahya, Senior Director of Strategic and Academic Development from the Department of Academic & International Affairs. Top management from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences were also in attendance, including Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Sham Mohamad, Deputy Dean (Academic & International) Dr. Norhafizah Md. Sarif, and Deputy Dean (Research & Postgraduate Studies) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkhibri Ismail @ Mustofa.




The primary goal of this gathering was to strengthen the program's direction and enhance the quality of pre-university education. Key discussions focused on refining the curriculum structure, assessing the effectiveness of current teaching methodologies, and ensuring the program's alignment with contemporary higher education and industry demands.



This strategic engagement aims to keep the Foundations program relevant, competitive, and future-oriented. Through such continuous dialogues, UMPSA reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-quality foundational education, providing students with the best possible preparation for their undergraduate studies across various disciplines.
