Enhancing Classroom Engagement: Dr. Azrin Wins UMPSA Best Practice Award in Teaching

On October 15, 2025, Dr. Muhammad Azrin bin Ahmad, an academic staff member from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), received the Anugerah Amalan Terbaik Sumber Manusia Peringkat Individu in the Teaching category. The Certificate of Appreciation was presented during the UMPSA Registrar's Department Open Day held at the UMPSA Gambang Sports Complex Hall.

The award recognizes Dr. Azrin's innovative project that integrates wireless screen-sharing technology into the classroom. By utilizing Google's Chromecast and Apple's AirPlay proprietary screen sharing protocols, the system allows both lecturers and students to seamlessly project content from their devices that run on Android, iOS, iPadOS, and macOS operating system.

Piloted in two classrooms at Block Z of the Gambang campus, the project is designed to enhance interaction and demonstrate how modern technology can create a more dynamic and effective learning environment. The ceremony was attended by YH Dato' Saiful Bahri bin Ahmad Bakarim, the Registrar and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of UMPSA.
