The programme involved 35 participants during the pre workshop and 50 participants during the main workshop. It was designed to align the centre strategic planning with the university direction and UMPSA30 Key Performance Indicators. The initiative emphasised strengthening teaching and learning quality, enhancing research performance, developing niche expertise, and expanding income generation through professional services and industry collaboration.

The pre workshop focused on performance evaluation, gap analysis, and mapping the centre contributions to university KPIs through structured group discussions and presentations. The outcomes from this session became the foundation for the main workshop, which concentrated on formulating strategic thrusts, objectives, measurable targets, and action plans for 2026. The workshop provided a platform for clear role alignment among academic and administrative members to ensure that all initiatives directly support academic excellence, research advancement, and institutional service.
