Centre for Mathematical Sciences Hosts Successful Team Building Event

The Centre for Mathematical Sciences at UMPSA recently organized a thrilling team building event at Tekoma Resort, Kuala Tahan, Pahang. The three-day program, which took place from July 26 to 28, 2024, saw the participation of 35 staff members who engaged in various activities designed to enhance teamwork and communication skills.

The event, dubbed "Bengkel Hala Tuju Strategik dan Pengukuhan Organisasi," featured a diverse range of activities. Participants enjoyed outdoor adventures such as jungle trekking to Bukit Teresek, boat rides to Lata Berkoh and Kelah Sanctuary, and walking on the world's longest canopy walkway. They also visited an indigenous village and experienced rapid shooting on Sungai Trenggan.

One of the highlights of the program was the group competitions. In the performance competition held during the BBQ dinner, Group 5, known as "Synergy Squared," emerged victorious with their impressive dikir barat presentation. The cooking survival challenge on the final day saw Group 4, "Adudu," showcase their culinary skills to claim the top spot. The overall champion of the team building event was Group 4, "Adudu," who demonstrated exceptional teamwork and creativity throughout the program.

Prof Dr Mohd Zuki bin Salleh, the Dean of the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, closed the event with a prize-giving ceremony and final remarks. He emphasized the importance of such activities in fostering a strong, collaborative work environment within the faculty.

This team building event not only provided a refreshing break from routine but also strengthened bonds among staff members, promoting better understanding and cooperation within the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at UMPSA. Through these experiences, the event successfully promoted positive interactions within the staff and allowed participants to build relationships and work effectively with one another, aligning with the program's key objectives.
