The Career Bootcamp 2024 program is an initiative for students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today's dynamic job market. This program was carried out on May 31, 2024 as a collaboration between the PSM UMPSA and the UMPSA Career Center.
It involved five lecturers and 80 participants from Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours. Two career coaches have been recruited from MyNext, Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad, namely Puan Azreen Afzan Md Nasir, Assistant Manager and Ms Sophie Ismail, Senior Executive of Learning & Development, to make this program a success.
This program is held to help students who are going to industrial training, those who have yet to find a job, and those who are going to WBL prepare attractive and quality resumes. In addition, the students can learn how to produce a resume video, write an appropriate cover letter, learn etiquette when emailing potential employers, and prepare for the interview. Students can also learn how to develop their LinkedIn profile to attract more recruiters. Hopefully, this program can help students become more confident to face any interview in the future, help them further improve their communication skills, and help students find jobs that are equivalent to their qualifications and abilities.
