AST Farewell Night 2025/2026

The Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), UMPSA, successfully organized a masquerade-themed AST Farewell Night to celebrate the graduation of the Foundation in Science and Technology (AST) cohort for the 2025/2026 academic session. The glamourous event took place on June 12, 2026, at the Banquet Hall, Canseleri, UMPSA Gambang Campus.

The celebration was attended by AST students, faculty members, academic advisors, and the top management of PSM. Among the prominent attendees showing their support were the Dean of PSM, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Sham bin Mohamad; Deputy Dean (Student Affairs & Alumni), Dr. Sahimel Azwal bin Sulaiman; the Deputy Dean (Academic & International Affairs), Dr Norhafizah binti Md Sarif; Head of the Mathematics Department, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Mohd Kasim; Head of the Data Analytics Department, Dr. Adam Shariff bin Adli Aminuddin; AST Coordinator, Dr. Farahanim binti Misni; and Manager, Madam Halizan binti Mohmood.

Alongside a formal dinner, the evening featured special performances by the AST students and a series of lighthearted recognition awards. Student categories included the Best Drip Award, Class Star Award, Chill Buddy Award, and Dream Star Award. Lecturers were also honored with titles such as Most Favorite Lecturer, Most Fashionable Lecturer, and Most Chill Lecturer. The highlight of the night was the crowning of the King, Queen, Prince, and Princess of the Night for the best-dressed individuals aligned with the masquerade theme.

The PSM management expresses its hope that the entire cohort graduates with flying colors, utilizing the AST program as a stepping stone to carve out even greater success in their upcoming Bachelor’s Degree programs at UMPSA this October 2026 intake.
