2u2i Assessment & Full Accreditation Visits of Bachelor of Applied Science Data Analytics with Honours Programme (MQA/FA 12425), Universiti Malaysia Pahang

The Center for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) in collaboration with the Center for Academic Innovation and Competitiveness (PIDA) has completed two sessions of full accreditation assessment visits by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) assessment panel for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours Programme (MQA/FA 12425). These two visit sessions are planned to ensure that this academic program successfully obtains full accreditation before the graduation of the first batch students.
This assessment visit started with the 2u2i Assessment Visit for the industry component to Talent Corporation Malaysia and Telekom Malaysia Berhad on 25 October 2022. In this session, an assessment panel (Associate Prof. Dr. Chang Yun Fah) and 2 MQA officers (Mrs. Siti Elija Binti Jamaluddin & Puan Nurul Nadia Binti Ngah) interviewed 5 program representatives, 3 Industrial Trainers and 5 Work Based Learning (WBL) students. 5 program representatives participated in this visit led by PSM Dean, Prof. Dr. Mohd Zuki Bin Salleh & Dr. Siti Zanariah Satari (Head of Data Analytics Programme), while Talent Corporation Malaysia was represented by Mr. Ahmad Syukri Bin Muhammad @ Mohamed and Telekom Malaysia Berhad represented by Puan Shamniza Azreen binti Shahudin & Mr. Mohd Zaid Waqiyuddin Bin Mohd Zulkifli.
Next, the Full Accreditation Assessment Visit session to the Mathematical Sciences Center was conducted on 27-28 October 2022. PSM welcomed the arrival of 2 assessment panels (Associate Prof. Dr. Chang Yun Fah & Associate Prof. Dr. Mazlynda Md Yusuf) and a MQA officer (Madam Siti Elija Binti Jamaluddin). The 2-day visit session started with a briefing session by PSM & program, an interview with the Head of Programme & WBL Coordinator, interview with the lecturers, interview with the students, interview with the MPPs, interview with the Quality Unit and a visit to the programme-related facilities such as vault room, library, Mathematics Support Center, Lecture Halls and Computer Laboratories. The panel also conducts class observation sessions for 2 laboratory component courses and one course for lecture sessions by the program's lecturers. The visit session was closed by verification process of the accreditation documents as well as the presentation of the visit findings by the MQA panel.
Hopefully with this visit, the Bachelor of Applied Science Data Analytics with Honours Programme will continue to shine with the aspiration to produce highly skilled and competent graduates in the field of Data Analytics. PSM would like to thank all parties involved in making this entire full accreditation process a success.
