Pusat Sains Matematik (PSM) has successfully organized a webinar talk, ‘Taklimat Ke Arah Syarikat Pemula (Start Up)’ on 26th March 2022. The speaker for this talk is jomSETTLE™ Chief Operating Officer (COO) Mr Mamed Fudarizi whom shared his start-up journey with the students.
This engaging and inspiring talk was joined by almost 120 students who are curious and wanted to learn more about the Fintech start-up industry especiallyin Malaysia of which Grab, Carsome, Boost and TheLorry are some of the familiar names known by many.
On the other hand, jomSETTLE™ is a trusted Fintech platform that allow credit card user to pay their personal and business expenses towards recipient who does not have credit card receiving terminal. jomSETTLE™ was launched in February 2022 with the goal of reshaping the negative perspection of credit cards that is associated with irresponsible spending.
During the talk, students had the opportunity to learn about the different aspects of building a start-up company such as understanding the stages of startup, knowing how to get a start-up funded, 101 start-up checklist, importance of digital marketing and many important points.
It is very important to note of how advantageous for Data Analytics students to be educated on the subject of Fintech as the finance industry is moving towards alongside the emerge of new technology.
