UTHM Lecture Series: R for Data Computation - Key Concepts and Applications

On 8 May 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslinazairimah Zakaria was invited as a speaker and had the opportunity to share her knowledge of the R programming language with first-year UTHM students from the Bachelor of Computational Data Analytics programme. Although the session was conducted online, it actively involved student participation through screen sharing from their laptops. This program served as a brief introduction to R, aiming to spark interest and foundational understanding. 

The programme, attended by 30 students, underscored the significance of open-source programming languages. Proficiency in R complements other tools like Python, which are increasingly vital for enhancing productivity and facilitating informed decision-making across various industries. The program also highlighted external recognition of the expertise of lecturers from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences.
