Training and Knowledge-Sharing Session of Human Resource Management

Paya Besar - A short training on Human Resource Management has been conducted on 16 Oct 2022 via online platform which was delivered by Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rashid bin Ab Hamid from Centre for Mathematical Sciences. He who previously experienced in managing one of the university’s subsidiaries as General Manager shared his viewpoints with 35 participants from various industrial sectors in Malaysia.

The session lasted for 4 hours revolved around the human resource management (HRM) principles, strategic HRM, employees’ rights and discipline, HRM information system, recruitment in labour market, performance appraisal, training and development, as well as the challenges and currents issues engulfed the HRM nowadays.

Most participants are experienced industrial practitioners also shared their knowledge on HRM during the session. This training is also a subject in order to meet the lifelong learning curriculum at executive masters level that they are taking.

Through this training which was co-organised by strategic partner of UMP, Mutiara Biru Ehsan Sdn. Bhd., certificate of attendance from Centre for Mathematical Sciences will also be given to all successful participants. The award of the certificate signifies the support from the centre towards the continuous training effort undertaken by the industry.

According to the Dean, Professor Dr. Mohd Zuki Salleh, the endeavour to give training to industrial practitioner is very much encouraged as the Centre for Mathematical Sciences also involved in research across disciplines which can be shared, applied and disseminated for the sake of community and industry.
