Risk Based Inspection (RBI): API 580 Training 2021

Risk Based Inspection (RBI): API 580 Training for KANEKA’s RBI Team was held on 30 December 2021 through hybrid learning (face to face and online via Microsoft Teams). The trainers are the RBI research team from Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Norhayati Binti Rosli, Mr. Khairul Hafiz Bin Khairuldin and Dr. Noryanti Binti Muhammad. 

There were 20 participants from KANEKA’s RBI Team and BASF who joining this training. The training covers four modules i.e. Module 1: Introduction to RBI, Module 2: RBI Assessment (Planning, Data & Information Collection, Damage Mechanism and Failure Mode), Module 3: Probability and Consequences of Failure and Module 4: Risk Management & Re-Assessment and Updating. 

Hopefully this training will benefit KANEKA in developing a scheme of inspection based on the knowledge of the risk of failure as well as performing risk analysis using the likelihood (probability) of failure due to flaws damage, deterioration or degradation and the consequences of failure.
