Researchers From Centre For Mathematical Sciences Excel at CITREX 2026
The 16th Creation, Innovation, Technology & Research Exposition (CITREX 2026) competition and exhibition took place successfully from May 5 to 7, 2026, at the UMPSA Gambang Campus Sports Complex. This edition of CITREX involved 10 innovation products contested by researchers from the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM), UMPSA. The PSM research team, comprising lecturers, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students, shared their innovations with a panel of judges consisting of academic and industry representatives.
The projects spanned various innovative aspects designed to benefit multiple levels of the community. Postgraduate projects featured research from both Master by Mixed Mode and Master by Research levels, supervised by PSM lecturers. Undergraduate innovations were presented by students of the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours, developed through their Data Science Projects under faculty supervision.
Reflecting on the positive impact of these works, the research conducted by PSM students is viewed as more than just academic writing in a thesis. These projects hold the potential for commercialization, providing significant benefits to relevant communities both locally and internationally.
The overall results for CITREX 2026 saw a total of ten medals awarded to PSM research projects: 6 Silver Medals and 4 Bronze Medals. May this excellent achievement serve as a continuous catalyst for all PSM researchers, driven by the spirit: “From Equation to Innovation!”
