Premium Industry Exposure 2024 – PSM feat. CPDC

The Career Placement and Development Centre (CPDC) at UMPSA launched the Premium Industry Exposure 2024 program, connecting students with leading companies in their chosen fields. This two-day initiative (July 3rd & 4th, 2024) provided valuable insights and career guidance for students in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Data Analytics with Honours program.


Day 1: Unveiling Opportunities at Petronas

The first day saw a group of 29 enthusiastic students and a lecturer embark on a journey to Petronas, Tower 3, KLCC. After a warm welcome, the program kicked off with an introduction to Petronas and their coveted GEES internship program. Following this, Petronas Digital presented a captivating talk on the world of Data Analytics and Data Science, sparking curiosity with a lively Q&A session. The day culminated in a gift exchange, solidifying the partnership between UMPSA and Petronas.

Day 2: Exploring Careers at Ernst & Young (EY)

Day two welcomed a new batch of 32 students and two lecturers for a visit to Ernst & Young (EY) office in Menara Millenium, Pusat Damansara. The program commenced with an insightful introduction to EY, followed by an engaging session with the company's Audit, Tax, and Data Analytics teams. These seasoned professionals shared their unique career paths, highlighting how diverse backgrounds can pave the way for success in data analysis at EY. An interactive Q&A session saw students actively seeking advice on landing coveted data analyst and data engineer positions. The program concluded with a networking session over refreshments, allowing students to connect with EY representatives in a relaxed setting. A final photo session captured the spirit of collaboration and the promise of future connections.

The Premium Industry Exposure 2024 program proved to be a resounding success. By connecting students with industry leaders, this initiative provided valuable insights and empowered students to navigate their career paths.
