Monthly Mathematical Colloquium (MMC) 3, 2022
The third Monthly Mathematical Colloquium (MMC) organised by the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (CMS) has been held on 20 May 2022 via the online platform, namely MS Teams. In this colloquium, there are two postgraduates from CMS have successfully shared their research study. These are including Denny Tie Kieng Heng (Master of Science by research) and Shabana Tabassum (Doctor of Philosophy by research).
This colloquium began with knowledge sharing from Denny Tie Kieng Heng who are master’s student under the supervision of Ts. Dr. Azlyna Binti Senawi. He has shared his research study entitled “Performance Investigation of a Linear Discriminant Analysis Based Feature Selection under Different Clustering Algorithms and Clustering Evaluation Criteria.” The following are some photoshoots regarding the presentation outline, research findings, and conclusions from Denny Tie Kieng Hieng.
Afterwards, this colloquium continued with the knowledge sharing from Shabana Tabassum with her research study entitled “Stochastic Model of the Oral Cancer in Response to Thymoquinone as Anticancer Therapeutics.” In general, Shabana Tabassum is a PhD student under the supervision of the Deputy Dean (Research & Postgraduate Studies), namely Associate Professor Dr. Norhayati Binti Rosli. The following are some photoshoots regarding the title, research background, and methodology employed by the Shabana Tabassum’s research study.
