Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Work Based Learning (WBL) between Pusat Sains Matematik UMP and Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM)
The Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) UMP and the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the 2u2i Data Analytics program. During the ceremony, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) of UMP, Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd. Rosli Hainin and Dean of the Center for Mathematical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mohd Zuki Salleh have signed the memorandum agreement with the Chief Executive Officer of the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), Pn. Nor Azimah Abdul Aziz and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Tn. Hj Rosli Hj Ahmad.
The 2u2i program is a work-based learning program that provides industry exposure to students throughout their studies. It was introduced in line with the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education) via Shift 1: Produce holistic, entrepreneurial and balanced graduates and Shift 7: Provide ecosystem for innovation.
Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd. Rosli Hainin through his speech said this MoU is an important synergy in the expansion of UMP's strategic network with credible industries and organizations in line with the spirit of the implementation of the UMP Strategic Plan 2021-2025. With the expertise possessed by SSM for 19 years, he is confident and believes, it can help increase the capacity and marketability of future graduates of UMP Data Analytics program, especially in the context of skills and applications of data science and analytics to seize future employment opportunities.
