Guest Speaker "The Smart Collaboration (Seminar & Talk Exchange) Series"

Associate Professor Dr. Roslinazairimah Zakaria was given an opportunity to be a speaker at the Smart Collaboration (Seminar & Talk Exchange) Series which was held at Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan from 19-20 June 2023. It was a collaboration event organized by the cluster "Separation Process Technology (SePAT)" from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, in conjunction with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Terengganu Section and the Society of Petroleum Engineers UMP Student Chapter (SPE UMP SC). The seminar focused on the theme "Digitalisation in the Oil and Gas Industry – A mindset Change". The primary objective of the seminar series was to disseminate the latest trends, innovations, and best practices related to digitalization in the oil and gas industry. The aim was to promote a mindset change towards sustainability and enhanced performance within the industry. The seminar series also provided a platform for collaboration between the university and industry which is crucial for driving advancements, addressing industry challenges, and promoting sustainable practices.

As a speaker, Associate Professor Dr. Roslinazairimah Zakaria shared her expertise in the field of data analytics which can be applied in the oil and gas industry. Her participation would have contributed to the overall objective of the event by providing valuable insights and promoting discussions on the necessary mindset change for embracing digitalization and enhancing industry performance. The collaboration between the university, SPE, and SPE UMP SC demonstrates a concerted effort to bridge the gap between academia and industry and promote research and innovation in the field.
