Enhancing Students' Digital Proficiency Through the 'Upskilling with Microsoft Excel' Workshop
On 18 April 2025, a workshop entitled "Upskilling with Microsoft Excel" was held at Blok M, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Gambang Campus. The event was organised by the Centre for Mathematical Sciences (PSM) to strengthen students’ proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially in the field of Data Analytics.
The session featured two invited speakers, Assoc. Prof. Dr Roslinazairimah Zakaria and Dr Nor Azuana Ramli. Throughout the workshop, participants were introduced to essential skills, including creating tables and charts, performing data analysis, and utilising advanced features such as PivotTables and Lookup Functions.
The programme, attended by 42 students, emphasised the importance of Excel skills in today’s job market, where data management and analysis capabilities are becoming increasingly vital to boost productivity and make informed decisions across various industries.
