Dr Muhammad Azrin Ahmad is a senior lecturer at Centre for Mathematical Sciences and also Head of Programme at Centre for Instructional Resources & e-Learning (CIReL) UMP. His research expertise is in Pure Mathematics, to be exact Formal Language Theory and Its Application including DNA splicing system. His current research interest focus more on the interdisciplinary study that relates between Formal Language Theory which is a branch of Computer Theoretical Sciences and Applied Discreet Mathematics & Informational Macromolecules such as DNA. He actively involve in writing scientific papers prior to his field and also co-author in a few workbook that are used by undergraduate course in UMP. He has been rewarded with internal and external grants from UMP and Ministry of Education (MOE) Malaysia.
